At Thrive, we center our focus on Jesus, the foundation of our hope and transformation. We believe that, as beloved children of God, we are called to live in His grace and share His love with the world. Through engaging worship and deep biblical teaching, we discover and embrace our identity in Him. Empowered by His authority, we pursue holistic healing and strategic training, equipping ourselves to make a meaningful impact in our communities.

We are a Kingdom community dedicated to nurturing healthy, God-centered families and cultivating genuine relationships with Him. Instead of being confined by religion, we emphasize building a personal connection with God, allowing His love to guide our lives. Together, we encourage one another to embrace the fullness of Christ’s power, grounding ourselves in His Word as we grow in faith and positively influence those around us.
our journey
Thrive Faith Community originated from Friday night services held by Oregon Apostolic Resources (OARS), which was established by Soorin Backer on February 4, 2022. OARS focused on helping individuals to lead Holy Spirit-led lives, grow in their faith, and serve their communities. Guided by the Lord, OARS eventually evolved into Thrive Faith Community, launching its first Sunday service exactly two years later on February 4, 2024. Today, Thrive empowers people to live transformative, Christ-centered lives through worship, healing, biblical teaching, and training. Committed to love and service, Thrive aims to make a positive difference in the world.

We're diligently building the foundation of Thrive Faith Community, laying the groundwork for a vibrant and impactful church. As we pray for and press into the great future the Lord has in store for us, we're excited to witness the growth, activation, and lasting impact that will unfold. We're creating a family where faith is lived out authentically, where lives are transformed, and where the love of Christ shines brightly on the world around us.
