Our Story
On February 4th, 2022, Soorin Backer launched Oregon Apostolic Resources (OARS) as an Apostolic Resource Center. OARS was founded on the belief that Jesus Christ is the only Way, Truth, and Life. The mission was simple: to help people grow in their faith, activate their spiritual gifts, and build a loving community. Through weekly Friday night services, OARS brought together believers to deepen their relationship with God and serve others.

As time passed, the Lord began to guide OARS toward a new chapter. By the end of 2023, it became clear that OARS was being called to transition from a resource center into a fully established church with Sunday morning services. This transition set the stage for OARS to relaunch as Thrive Faith Community on February 4th, 2024.

Today, Thrive Faith Community, or simply Thrive, continues the mission that began with OARS. Meeting every Sunday morning, Thrive is a growing church committed to loving God and others. As a Kingdom community, Thrive is dedicated to equipping people to walk in the power Christ intended. Through worship, holistic healing, biblical teaching, and practical training, Thrive seeks to help individuals grow in their faith and make a positive impact on the culture around them.
