Tammy Wilhite is the Treasurer and a key leader for Thrive Faith Community. Tammy leads offering and communion for our weekly services. She a faithful steward whether that is helping in the kid’s ministry, prayer ministry, or hospitality and clean up. Most recently she has become one of our guest speakers and she continues to pour into our community with wisdom and strength.
Tammy was raised in Oregon in a Christian home. She went into the Army after high school and trained in Colorado as an LPN. After three years she moved to Valencia, Spain and taught English as a second language. She was married for 11 years and had two children. Tammy was activated to go to Dessert Storm and was stationed in Stuttgart Germany. After a period of being a single mom for six years she met her husband Rob with whom she’s been married for over 27 years. She worked as a health inspector until God asked her to start a recovery house for women and women with children struggling with addiction which she operated and managed for 7 years.
Tammy was invited to one of the conferences with Soorin Backer Ministries and she continued to attend and bring other women from the recovery house that she led until it closed in 2018. Tammy became a foundational member and has been a part of our community since before its inception.
Tammy has a passion to see people experience freedom and walk in the power Christ intended by his finished work on the cross.
